Design Camp

LSW Architects is sponsoring a Young Architects Design Camps for children from 8 to 12 years old at two different locations and several weeks this summer.


It’s a program developed to cultivate creativity and exploration in elementary aged children. By placing an emphasis on design-based thinking, imagination, teamwork, and fun, the camp aspires to mold the problem solvers and creative leaders of tomorrow. Each week revolves around a unique central theme that informs a week-long project that culminates in an art walk where campers present their designs. Although the camp emphasizes drawing and building, we do not hesitate to get outside and play a bit too!


Last summer, there were multiple weeks offered where students had the opportunity to participate in various themes of design and creativity, from designing treehouses, spaceships, and more! At the end of each week, campers had the opportunity to present their creations to family and friends. In addition to their projects, the children participated in several other activities, such as sketchbook making, collaborative painting, and working with clay.  The campers were also given fun architecture tours through the Vancouver library as an educational field trip through their city.

The camps will run from 9 am to 3pm and cost $200 per session. Contact for more information.
