First Saturday Virtually

First Saturday 5th Anniversary: We are celebrating the 5th Anniversary of First Saturdays tomorrow – it is all virtual, but still a reason to celebrate! Thank you to everyone who has dedicated time and energy over the last five years to make this celebration possible. It has been fun to look back at our accomplishments and the awesome activities that so many residents and visitors have enjoyed. We even won an award from Association of Washington Cities. Watch the slide show tomorrow.

If you don’t know, the founders of the First Saturday event are Earleen Griswold, Peggy Quall, Barb Blystone and Kay Stringfellow. A huge shout out to them for making First Saturdays possible.

We are all looking forward to being able to celebrate live again! But, until then, the City is committed to continuing First Saturday events in whatever way possible.

Shop Local and Save: The City is launching a program today to encourage residents to shop local. In a nutshell, residents who shop at a business within City limits can turn in the receipt for a credit on their next water bill. How you can help – provide receipts and let your customers know it is happening. Here is a link to find out more information: https://ridgefieldwa.us/shop-local-and-save/

Look for another shop local program that will be unveiled next week. If you have your own FB page, please share the announcements – it will benefit your business and this fabulous place that we live.
