Invitation to Participate in National Night Out

The City of Ridgefield and the Ridgefield Police Department are once again gearing up for our 13 th annual National Night Out Celebration. This celebration brings our community and neighbors together for a time of food and fun. We are so excited to extend an invitation to you to help us celebrate America’s night out against crime.

National Night Out began in 1984 and has become a national celebration in cities across America, the first Tuesday in August. This year our celebration is Tuesday, August 1 st , 2017 from 6pm to 8pm in Abrams Park, located at the east end of Division Street, about one mile east of Main Avenue in downtown Ridgefield.

Your participation is key to the great success of this event. By you participating, you help us promote crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for local anti-crime programs and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. You, along with other area business and community service representatives will help make this event a great success.

Last year we had about 1200 people partake in the activities of live music, antique cars, a bike rodeo, games, ice-cream, and of course a great BBQ.

To reserve your space for the celebration, please contact Sandra Hoots our Police Clerk at (360)887-3556. Or you may email her at sandra.hoots@ci.ridgefield.wa.us. We will provide for you a free space to setup your own tent, booth or static display. There is a limited power supply available so make sure you let us know if you need power. Please call the police department if you have any questions regarding our event. Our staff is excited to serve you. We hope to hear from you soon.
