March for Immigration Policies

Can you march in support of immigrants? Please join thousands of citizens rallying in Washington DC and across the United States at an event here in Vancouver. MoveOn Clark County is hosting a march to bring attention to Immigration policies which treat asylum seekers as criminals, and break up or incarcerate families. Even though the Trump administration announced it will no longer take children from their parents, there is no current plan to reunite families. It appears that the next step is to incarcerate families until they can be deported, without proper hearings for those seeking asylum.

The march is Saturday, June 30, at 12:45 pm. Meet at Jamie Herrera Beutler’s office O.O. Howard House (Officers’ Row) , 750 Anderson Street, Vancouver.

March starts at 1 p.m.  We will march to Esther Short Park, Bell Tower Community Square.

Please bring a sign. If you do not wish to march, meet at Esther Short Park by 1:30 for a short program of CONVERSATIONS ABOUT IMMIGRATION AND FAMILIES.
