May’s Meaningful Movie

The Meaningful Movie for May is “He Named Me Malala” about the amazingly resilient and inspiring Malala Yousafzai who is a champion of girl’s education around the world.

There will be a discussion after the movie, led by a panel including Mrs. Jill Uhacz an English teacher from Ridgefield High School who has been recognized time and again for her thought provoking curriculum and Dr. Buki Okafor who is from Nigeria and is a local pediatrician with Northwest Permanente. Dr. Okafor will update us on the state of girl’s education in Nigeria.

The movie is Wednesday, May 23rd – doors open at 6:15 pm, film starts at 7pm, discussion to follow film. The movie is free, but donations are welcome.
