National Night Out

Ridgefield’s 14th annual celebration of National Night Out is fast approaching. We are so excited to once again invite you to come together with our community, neighbors and public safety representatives to commemorate this national event.

This year marks the 35th annual celebration of National Night Out nationwide.  This event began in 1984 and has become a national celebration in cities across America, strengthening neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

Please join us in Scenic Abrams Park, located at the east end of Division Street, about one mile east of Main Avenue in downtown Ridgefield, on August 7th 2018, from 6pm to 8pm, for our community gathering. You will enjoy free hot dogs, great music, and games for the kids.  A bike rodeo, ice cream, representatives from the public safety community, along with police cruisers and fire trucks and a variety of vendors from the Ridgefield area.

If you are a non-profit organization, you will be provided a free space to set up your own tent or display. If you are a “for profit vendor”, a nominal fee of $75.00 will be charged to help off-set the cost of the event. To reserve your space for our celebration, please contact Sandra Hoots our Police Clerk at (360) 887-3556, or you may email her at  We will provide for you a space to setup your own tent, booth or static display. There is limited spaces with a power supply, so make sure you let us know if you need electricity. Please call the police department if you have any questions regarding our event.
