Oktober Fest is September 14.

Ridgefield Oktoberfest is a family-friendly event with German-style food, local beers, and live music held in conjunction with Experience Ridgefield.

Oktoberfest, originally a celebration of a royal wedding, began over 200 years ago in a field in Munich, Germany. It’s now the largest festival on earth, with people coming from all over the world to celebrate Bavarian culture and, of course, drink beer. But it’s not necessary to leave the United States to celebrate Oktoberfest. Many towns across the country – including Ridgefield – have embraced their German heritage, putting together their own festivals.

This year’s celebration is September 14 from 11 am to 4 pm at the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreational Complex. $15 entry includes the first pour. $25 VIP entry is only $20 if purchased by September 1. VIP admission includes a commemorative pint glass and your first 16 ounce pour. Each additional 16 ounce pour is $5.
