Tinkergarten provides early childhood learning in the outdoors. The curriculum engages a wide range of kids ages 18 months to 8 years. A season of Tinkergarten lessons are engineered to help kids develop a range of school readiness and lifelong-learning skills. Registration is available on-line for classes at Abrams Park on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays beginning September 10.

Families meet outdoors to connect and learn through play. In a 5-part class each week, Tinkergarten Leader Tiffany Burnette will facilitate an expert-designed play scenario, allowing children of various ages and needs to explore, problem solve, communicate, collaborate, and create together. Parents and caregivers learn, too, as we’ll share insight into your child’s development.

The program progresses to meet each child’s needs season after season. This fall, the curriculum will support the development of a range of cognitive, social/emotional and physical skills. Our focus skill for the season will be problem solving.

Who we are: Tinkergarten is a social impact company committed to providing both play-based learning and a connection to nature for families everywhere.

Our classes are small (12 children max), for children ages 18 months – 5 years. Meet once a week for about an hour, and a parent or guardian stays with each child.

Our partnerships: Classes are designed to leave-no-trace. We support the areas we work with in a wide variety of ways; bringing new families to the green space, engaging very young children in nature play, and building a family culture of outdoor time and respect for nature.
