Unleash your creativity!

I will teach watercolor classes in my home studio starting Tuesday, October 10, and running for six weeks. This class will be for beginner through intermediate painters – you do not need to know anything about painting to join us. Classes will be informal and fun, with the stress on fun. We’ll start off each day with a short demonstration, and then you’ll have time to paint. I will work with each student individually.

These will be a little different from the classes I’ve given benefiting the library. It will be a series of six classes, and you will choose your picture, either from my stock or your own, sketch it on tracing paper, transfer the sketch to watercolor paper and then paint it.  I will lead you through each step of the process. We’ll talk about color theory, perspective, lights and darks, etc.

There will be a supply list, and you will need brushes, paints and a palette. We can make a group purchase of supplies after the first class, but you can supply your own materials if you have them. I’ll supply the support and the first piece of paper.

The class will be held in my home in downtown Ridgefield, and meet from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Cost is $99. Please call me if you’re interested as I only have room for a limited number of people. 360-887-2160
